Turquoise set to give Saudi TV an image overhaul
LONDON - Turquoise, the UK branding consultancy, has won a brief to revamp Saudi TV's four channels, including flagship Saudi 1 and news station Al Ekhbariya.
The TV branding team has worked with Saudi TV before, after Ian Humphrey, head of on-screen, invested in specialist software to create a series of Ramadan sequences for the TV broadcaster. Humphrey and Gareth Mapp, executive creative director, will be managing the rebrand.

Linda Garcia, Turquoise managing director, said: "We are delighted to have won this project as it is a big, exciting piece of business to work on.
"The Middle East broadcasting industry is evolving very quickly and becoming increasingly competitive, so it's very interesting to be a part of helping such a large player in this sector to evolve, adapt and keep in tune with current and potential viewers."
UK design agency Creative Edge is overseeing the project. Assad Abu Al Jadail, Creative Edge CEO, said: "Turquoise impressed us with the wealth of experience they have gained in TV identity work in the Middle East and globally.
"They have a great understanding of the requirements in this part of the world and we are looking forward to seeing their insights translate into powerful new brand identities that will appeal to the target audiences."
Turquoise UK was formed in 2003 and reinforced links with the Middle East with the launch of Turquoise Dubai in June 2006.
Garcia expanded the TV branding division in November 2006 to meet international demand. The TV branding team works with clients on every stage of design, from creative development to production and delivery.
