Meet the Fockers DVD launch backed with new online ad format
LONDON - The DVD launch of 'Meet the Fockers', the film starring Ben Stiller, Robert de Niro, Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman, is to be backed with an online campaign that will stream the television ad in banners for the first time.
The campaign was been developed by New Media Maze using Tangozebra's Widescreen Video Format.
It is a new format that capitalises on broadband connection by delivering full-screen, high-quality video streaming, run from any fixed-position ad.

Film distributor Universal is using the format to stream the television ad through the Lycos homepage and within an ad placement on the FHM homepage. It could also be used to stream movie trailers or other content.
Overlays will also stream the TV spot on sites including The Sun Online, Virgin.net and NTL World.
Supporting activity will include a high impact online publicity campaign, exclusive movie clip placement with mobile operator Vodafone and a substantial online advertising campaign across five sites.

'Meet the Fockers' is released this week on DVD. It is the follow-up to 'Meet the Parents', the comedy starring Stiller and De Niro, who return in the sequel.
