MySpace to host advanced screening of Brotherhood

LONDON - News Corporation's MySpace.com has signed a UK television deal to screen the first episode of Irish-American drama 'Brotherhood' ahead of its debut on the FX channel.

The social networking giant said that 'Brotherhood''s UK MySpace page would feature the series' debut episode from October 9.

The deal paves the way for future TV partnerships, following the success of similar agreements with US cosmetic surgery drama 'Nip/Tuck' and the US version of Ricky Gervais' 'The Office'.

MySpace said its partnership with 'Brotherhood' would include an exclusive premiere of the first episode, promotion of the MySpace screening on the FX channel, and a competition offering viewers the chance to win £1,000.

Jamie Kantrowitz, senior vice-president of marketing and content at MySpace, said: "This partnership will not only help to publicise a fantastic new television series, but it is also an important milestone for MySpace and the UK television industry."

'Brotherhood', which stars Jason Clarke as a rising star of Rhode Island politics, follows the working-class Caffee family as they deal with the criminal underworld in the north-eastern US.
