New campaign for AA Insurance introduces the AA Team
LONDON - AA Insurance is to unveil its first new campaign since its new owners Permira and CVC restructured the company last year, with a DRTV spot breaking this Sunday.
The spot is one of two TV ads in a £10m integrated campaign created by Rapier. It introduces the "AA Team", which fights to get the best deal for insurance customers.
Rapier held on to the AA Insurance and AA Financial Services business after the client recently reviewed its advertising arrangements, following the restructure last year that created three separate divisions -- Insurance, Financial Services and Roadside Assistance.

However, the review saw the £20m Roadside Assistance business go to Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners.
Media planning and buying duties across all AA divisions were carried off by PHD from incumbent Manning Gottlieb OMD, which declined to repitch.
The AA appointed AXA marketer Kevin Sinclair as director of AA Insurance in January.
