Monster gives European CRM task to Wunderman

by Ed Kemp Marketing 21-Jun-06

Monster.com, the recruitment website, has awarded its pan-European customer relationship marketing account to Wunderman.

The agency picked up the account following a competitive pitch,
defeating OgilvyOne in a final shootout. Harrison Troughton Wunderman
worked with Wunderman Paris and Wunderman Germany to win the

business.

The appointment follows the completion of a review of Monster's ú50m
European media planning and buying account, which was moved from
ZenithOptimedia into Mediaedge:cia in April.

The TMP Worldwide-owned company has briefed Wunderman to create a
pan-European online strategy to boost its profile. Arc Integrated, which
won Monster's UK online account last year, is not affected by the
hiring.

The company is now expected to review its creative account, which is
currently held by Leo Burnett.

Monster, which was founded in 1994 and has 24 sites around the world, is
the UK's biggest online job site. It has about 2.5m registered users in
the UK. Nearly 11m UK residents currently use recruitment services.

The company spent about ú2m on UK advertising in 2005, according to
Nielsen Media Research, although its spend is expected to be
considerably higher this year.
