Avon adds skin firming product

Avon is expanding its skincare range with the launch of a skin-firming product called Clinical Thermafirm as it seeks to update its brand.

The product, which is designed to lift, tighten and tone the skin, will
be supported by TV ads created by Brave, which break on 12 August.

Clinical Thermafirm will also feature in direct-sales catalogues from

the end of July. Media is being handled by Starcom.

Avon is also rolling out Crystal Aura, a fragrance intended to open up
the prestige category. Its launch follows its Today, Tomorrow, Always
trilogy, the ads for which star actress Selma Hayek.

Separately, a spokeswoman said Avon would continue to look at TV
sponsorships, despite being censured for breaking Ofcom guidelines in a
tie-up with ITV's Footballers' Wives.
