LONDON – Data capture systems specialist TAAP has launched a new version of its mobile data capture device OnTAAP DataCapture, which introduces audio and photo data capability.

The ability to integrate audio and photo data into individual prospect records was introduced at the request of TAAP's clients, including automotive brands Fiat, Vauxhall, Chevrolet and Kia Motors.

Matthew Young, e-commerce and direct marketing manager of Chevrolet, said: "Sometimes it's the throwaway comments that are the most insightful and that's what we are looking to capture."

Since using OnTAAP DataCapture, Chevrolet has seen a dramatic increase in converting sales leads taken at events into test drives.

Steve Higgon, CEO of TAAP, said: "Introducing the ability to include audio and images to individual records has widened the appeal of OnTAAP DataCapture from a pure lead capture and promotion tool to a wide variety of applications where structured, but flexible data capture is required."
