MindShare and Pulse Group join up for online research arm

LONDON - Media network MindShare and research outsourcing company Pulse Group have joined forces to launch a pan-Asian online panel called mPulse.

MPulse will release regular, multi-country surveys specifically designed to understand Asian consumers.

The new division will quantitatively and qualitatively track consumer media trends, habits, perceptions and attitudes towards a variety of issues.

In addition, it will use Pulse Group's existing online panels Planet Pulse, as well as blogging panel Pulse Blog to build a detailed picture of the typical Asian consumer. MPulse will also provide consulting via the MindShare network.

Bob Chua, chief executive of Pulse Group, said: "MPulse will no doubt appeal to a wide audience, especially as we enter an era of internet marketing media that we are continuing to learn more about."

James Chadwick, director of Insights for MindShare Asia-Pacific, added: "MindShare is committed to providing its clients with fresh and timely insights into Asian consumer behaviour and trends and its critical to use new methodologies to get that freshness."
