Guardian Newspapers considers launch of afternoon freesheet

LONDON – Guardian Newspapers, publisher of The Guardian and The Observer, is looking at the possibility of launching a London freesheet newspaper, having registered its interest in bidding for the upcoming London Underground distribution contract.
