Paris's mum teaches girls to live like a Hilton for new reality TV series

LONDON – Paris Hilton's mother Cathy is to star in her own reality TV series 'I Want to Be a Hilton', where she will reward a wannabe New York socialite with the chance to live like a Hilton for a year, although whether this includes a starring role in your own porn film is unclear.

Hilton will educate the contestants in the dos and don'ts of haute couture, etiquette and how to handle an unforgiving press for the new reality TV series on US broadcaster NBC.

At the end of each episode, Hilton will eliminate a candidate based on the results of weekly challenges, with the finalist winning an extravagant prize package and the opportunity to live like a Hilton for a year.

It is not known whether the series is destined for UK shores, although Five and Sky One have expressed an interest.

News of Cathy Hilton's show comes as her daughter and 'Simple Life' star Paris Hilton has fallen out with her co-star and former friend Nicole Richie.

The two failed to reconcile their differences and Hilton will be appearing with Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberley in the next series of the reality show.

Hilton was reportedly left seething after Richie, Lionel Richie's adopted daughter, replaced a video of Paris's Saturday Night Live performance with Hilton's infamous porn tape, made by her ex-boyfriend Rick Solomon, at a party.

In addition, US Weekly claims it has "hours of footage" of Paris and Nicole fighting on the set of 'The Simple Life: Interns' and they are considering airing it.
