After the ban Horse & Hound produces special hunting edition

LONDON - IPC Media equestrian magazine Horse & Hound is producing a special hunting issue to coincide with the start of the hunting season.

The special issue features an exclusive interview with Kate Hoey, MP and recently appointed chairman of the Countryside Alliance, with her views on the Hunting Act, which became law on February 18 this year.

"It is such a stupid law. We will get it lifted. It may take a few years, but ultimately it will only take a very small one-clause bill to go back to where we were before.

"The Act is riddled with inconsistencies and holes big enough to put a hound through, if not a horse as well," Hoey said.

The issue, on sale today, also includes a hunt directory, providing readers with all the information they need to know about the various hunts in England, Scotland and Wales and Ireland, when they are taking place and how to join them.

Also in the hunting special, Robert Rhodes QC, a leading silk in the fields of fraud, financial services, crime and professional negligence, explains the Act's dos and don'ts and what it means for hunt staff and followers.

With the hunting season officially starting on November 1, Horse & Hound's special issue will have everything readers need to know in advance.

In addition, the issue gives readers the chance to win VIP tickets for the London International Horse Show at Olympia.
