Disintermediation, Payment for Content and Digital Delivery
Tue 8 Dec 2009
9:00 AM to 1:30 PM
In Central London to be confirmed at a later date.
This seminar will look at the new and emerging funding models to attract, collect and protect revenue for copyright content. The general trend for online content has been for free delivery but iTunes, Netflix and Metoboli have shown that consumers are willing to pay for media, opening up the possibility of new revenue streamsfor content owners including independent producers, newspapers and journals. What are the business models for the future and how can talent, producers and retailers be fairly compensated? And in light of the announcement in Digital Britain of a crackdown on illegal file-sharing, what is the latest thinking on the challenges of implementing a harder line on copyright infringement?
