Maxus boosts EMEA commercial team with Mahoney and Terry
Maxus has appointed Phil Mahoney, the head of trading at PHD, to the new role of EMEA trading director, and Adrian Terry, the EMEA commercial director of GroupM, as EMEA finance director.
Adrian Terry: named EMEA finance director at Maxus
As EMEA trading director, Mahoney will be responsible for trading in all of Maxus’s markets in the region. He will also work on global and regional new business pitches and develop and implement new trading models for the agency.
Mahoney will report directly into Alan Hodge, global trading director at Maxus. Hodge said: "Phil will be a key member of the Maxus global trading team. His remit will be to ensure the agency continues to deliver exceptional value for its existing clients and that it retains its position as the fastest growing media agency in the world."
Terry joins as EMEA finance director and replaces Dan Yardley, who left Maxus in July to join MSQ Partners.
He will ensure that business performance insights are shared with local and global management, and will report into Federico de Nardis, EMEA chief executive of Maxus, and Steve McCulloch, the global chief financial officer.
Terry joins from GroupM, and prior to this held the position of central functions finance director at the Royal Mail.
Alan Hodge added: "Mahoney and Terry will represent strong additions to EMEA chief executive Federico de Nardis’ senior management team, and ensure that Maxus continues on its current growth trajectory."
The pair are the latest senior EMEA hires for Maxus. In August, it also announced it had hired OMD's Bijan White to be its EMEA head of digital.
