Sport England pledges inclusive recruitment process after complaint
Sport England is changing its recruitment process to be more inclusive following a complaint over an advertised PR role.

The sports body, which employs PRCA diversity head Tanya Joseph as director of business partnerships, has pledged to clarify that applications from people without degrees will be considered.
The move was prompted by a complaint that its advert for a head of comms asked for candidates educated to degree level or with an equivalent vocational qualification.
Joseph said: 'Sport England is a diverse employer, with colleagues from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience. In future, relevant job ads will make explicit that we will consider applications from candidates with relevant experience even if they do not have formal qualifications.
'This will include roles in our comms team. As chair of the PRCA Diversity Network, I think it is important that the PR industry reviews all its recruitment practices to ensure we attract talented people in the industry.'
Joseph leads the Diversity Network alongside Jericho Chambers' Robert Phillips.
