Frontend Developer / Designer

Perm Up to £35K HTML5 CSS Javascript jQuery London

Who are we looking for?

This is an opportunity to join a close-knit and dynamic team of developers dedicated to driving real innovation across the web and the companies brand websites. You will be applying your technical expertise working on the Frontend of various busy, high traffic and public facing websites.

You will also have the opportunity to share your strong attention to detail and flair for design by assisting with creative duties (such as template and banner design) for the brands you work on. Experience with PHP and MySQL or a willingness to learn is highly regarded in this role.

What you will be working on?

- Converting PSD templates to XHMTL/HTML
- Develop the Frontend of the companies various brands, products and departments
- Update, maintain and troubleshoot existing websites
- Coordinate timelines and work flow with Project Manager and Lead Developer
- Keep up to date with the latest Frontend technology and development techniques

Who are you and what can you do?

- Strong experience with XHTML 1 and CSS
- Experience or good understanding of HMTL5
- Good understanding of Javascript and associated libraries (jQuery highly prized)
- Eye for detail, ability to slice and code templates into pixel perfect Frontend
- Web and Graphic design experience - ability to assist with template and banner design
- Strong knowledge of browser testing, accessibility and W3C Web standards
- Awareness and interest in responsive web and other emerging methodologies
- Open and effective communication with other developers, Project Managers and 3rd parties

Really great if you have:

- Knowledge and experience with PHP and MySQL
- Have an IT or related degree/qualification or equivalent practical experience
