Overall purpose
This is a technical role within a direct marketing environment. A Campaign Analyst is responsible for processing data for DM campaigns in an innovative and effective way to meet targeting criteria. He/she will be an expert in Industry Best Practice and Data Protection, will advise on targeting and the use of data and will be responsible for the quality of individual campaigns. He/she will also strive to develop dunnhumby's campaign tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities
Process data for targeted campaigns including complex targeting criteria
Deliver data files to strict deadlines
Advise and recommend on suppressions, processing techniques and targeting
Ensure best practices are employed at every step
Apply strict quality checks at every step and always adhere to DPA guidelines
Challenge and improve dunnhumby campaign capability through development of toolkit or processes
QA other people's work and train and advise junior members of the team

Sector Level
Liaise with internal Account Managers and Planners to understand campaign requirements and advise on data opportunities and risks

Existing Client Relationships
Limited external client contact is required but a Campaign Manager will become expert in a specific area and may be required to work with clients as the campaign expert

New Client Business Development
Present ideas for campaign solutions for new clients and new media opportunities and work closely with the Data Solutions Group to deliver these

Graduate calibre with minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of campaign management principles and processes
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent attention to detail

Degree in a related field
Good knowledge and keen interest in direct marketing
Working experience of deep data manipulation tools such as Oracle, SQL, SAS
Marketing qualifications or affiliations
Working understanding of the UK Statement process

Experience in a data led Direct Marketing environment
Experience processing data for large direct marketing campaigns
Knowledge of industry best practice

Keen interest in Direct Marketing
People management experience
Mixture of client and agency experience

Excellent communicator - highly developed persuasive and motivational skills
Outgoing, articulate and literate
Able to discuss technical and commercial aspects of direct marketing
Comfortable with all levels of the company
