 Freelance Account Manager [Sales Promotion] – Excellent Integrated Agency – Central London – c£160-170 / day

Superb integrated agency seeks a freelance Account Manager to work on a fabulous retail account.

The agency is one of the few remaining independent marketing agencies in the UK and has 3 main account handling teams a Studio and Creative department.

The Client

The agency are this much loved retailer’s promotional agency, responsible and retained for on and offline promotional activity including in-store point of sale, online comms, store and press publications and creating exciting promotional/traffic driving campaigns.

They also work closely with the retailer’s other agencies: one which is responsible for brand development, social media and ATL comms, another for PR and another for media buying.

The Account Manager Role

·         Primarily, this role is to support the existing team within the planning and implementation of the retailer’s biggest promotional campaign – Christmas. The team is headed up by an Account Director, supported by a Senior Account Manager. The Account Manager will work with them both on the Christmas campaign.

·         The Account Manager will be actively involved in managing the development of in-store point of sale creative, online collateral, publications and promotional campaign ideas for Christmas and other smaller projects.

·         Experience and confidence in managing the development of creative campaigns is essential - from taking the initial Client brief through to final sign off – including all internal agency processes.

·         The Account Manager will be client-facing, working with a small number of core clients.

·         Retail / shopper marketing experience would be beneficial but not essential

The Account Manager Required

·         The agency are looking for a confident Account Manager, with 2 to 3 years’ experience working in an integrated agency.

·         The Account Manager needs a keen eye for detail and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget as the agency do not have a dedicated Project Management function in house. 

·         The Account Manager will be calm under pressure, a natural team player and confident/ articulate enough to manage relationships with day to day clients.
