A highly creative, proactive Design Manager who has a strong background of offline and online design and website development is required to join Marketing team of an events retail brand located in North London.

You will ideally be experienced in the e-Commerce industry with a proven track record of management, planning, testing and implementation of e-Commerce best practices in a fast moving, results oriented retail business.

You will be reporting into the Ecommerce Manager and will have end to end responsibility of website design and offline design as well as management of the design team. Familiarity with coding languages, including HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery is required for editing purposes, however, heavy coding is done by the development team.

As Design Manager you will be responsible for:

*Implementing and leading the design strategy for our UK business
*Ensuring flawless and timely execution and optimization of strategies and plans
*Working with the Ecommerce Manager to review of trends and implementing change based on the site performance to maximise site conversion and retention rates
*Work with the eCRM Manager to implement the emailing strategy
*Implement new technologies from a coding perspective, working closely with the in house development team
*Developing new design elements such as infographics, useful video content
*Leading the design in all new offline activity, including direct mail, TV and point of sale
*Reviewing competitor design elements and building a competitor log
*Working with the third party team and Head of Marketing to select an external design agency and deliver in store packaging
*Liaising with print agencies
*Managing the designers and the workflow within the design team
*Ensuring strong personal development for the design team
*Ensuring all content reinforces company brand values

In order to be successful you will need:
*4+ years experience in an online design role
*Competent in HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery
*Excellent knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
*Experience with MVT would be beneficial
*Previous experience of Endeca and recommendation engines would be beneficial
*Previous experience of AB testing
