About us

At Dyson we solve problems through ‘wrong thinking’. That’s the approach that led James Dyson to develop the world’s first bagless vacuum cleaner. And our vacuums now lead the market in the UK, Europe, Japan and the USA. More recently, we’ve developed new hand dryer technology, a fan without blades and a digital motor that spins at 104,000 times a minute.

About the role

To ensure that our communications are aligned with our philosophy, we built our own in-house advertising agency – Creative Services. It produces global materials for all communication channels. We’re looking for an Advertising Account Director to manage creative projects within the team – developing motivational and insightful strategies that help drive powerful ideas. Working with engineers all the way up to the Chief Engineer (James Dyson), it’s a rare opportunity to operate at the heart of a brand. This would be a challenging next step for an experienced Account Manager or an opportunity for an existing Account Director to lead the team in an in-house advertising agency.

About you

Ideally you’ll be from an advertising agency background and have worked with large global brands. You’ll have considerable experience of managing the overall planning, strategy and delivery of creative materials including TV commercials, print, outdoor, and digital (to name a few). You thrive in a challenging environment, explaining new technologies to a wide audience and gaining the support of colleagues around the world. It’s a busy place to be and our ‘wrong thinking’ philosophy will take you outside your comfort zone. But, like everyone at Dyson, ‘wrong thinking’ will guide you to better solutions.
