My client, a leading online forum for mums to be, which includes forums, chat, polls and articles is looking for a new Consumer Insight Specialist to provide timely and relevant research to identify and measure consumer attitudes and behaviour, which will support the Insight team in meeting their objectives and achieving their revenue budget.

Key Areas of Focus...

- Manage each step of the research process as follows
o To meet with internal stakeholders or external clients to evaluate objectives and design the research programme that will meet them
o Write questionnaires
o Draw sample selections from our database and consumer panel
o Script and launch quantitative surveys
o Analyse quantitative data
o Produce and deliver debriefs in the appropriate format
- Ensure the smooth running of projects with colleagues and external suppliers (where applicable) and monitor, review and advise on each stage of research (set-up & design, fieldwork, delivery & processing of data, analysis, debriefing etc.)
- Develop research findings beyond reportage into clear & actionable recommendations
- Support consumer research programmes with desk research and market analysis

- Share the relevant and appropriate research learnings with internal and external stakeholders, informing how they can be used to benefit our/ the client`s business
- Become the first point of contact for internal research-related queries
- Present research findings to internal or external audiences as required
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with third party suppliers
- Provide updates and status reports for all current research
- Provide informal research training, advice, and support for colleagues where required

- Keep abreast of information on the latest research techniques and industry developments
- Be aware of the current MRS Code of Conduct and any subsequent additions or changes

- Ensure on-going knowledge and awareness of the company portfolio and client base
- Confidence to stand in for the Head of Consumer Understanding as and when required
- Read relevant trade journals and press articles relating to market research and to the young family market

Personal Profile...

The ideal candidate has a wealth of market research experience gained in an agency-side environment. They can confidently run their own projects from briefing right through to presenting. This person is looking for their next challenge of playing an influential role within a small team and a unique business and being completely hands-on throughout the project lifecycle. Confident, open, highly organised, creative and with a flexible approach, this person will be happy to hit the ground running and get involved from day one, learning ‘on the job` and through induction sessions. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is happy to run projects independently whilst also contributing fully to every aspect of team life.

Previous Experience...

- Minimum 4 years delivering quantitative research projects
- Cross category experience including FMCG, healthcare, and retail
- Experience of running continuous and ad hoc research projects
- Extensive usage of SPSS and SNAP software
- Confident TGI user
- MRS Associate Member
- Fully competent across MS Office programmes

- Experience of using consumer access panels
- Experience of running qualitative research groups and depth interviews
- Experience of conducting research amongst the young family audience
- Experience of working with a range of stakeholder groups (clients, marketers, operational teams, etc.)
