Account Director - Design/FMCG/Branding - West Midlands - £Excellent + Package

Blueskies are delighted to be working with this fantastic Design Agency based in the West Midlands.

Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Account Manager or Account Director to work on a prestigious FMCG Account.

The ideal candidate will have experience within the sector, as well as a strong eye for design, and preferably experience working with packaging and design, as well as working with big brands.

As well as an innate creativity, you will also have a strong commercial head and be able to add value in the following areas:

1. Client Relationship
Building a strong relationship with senior client contacts: Representing the agency in a professional manner Providing insightful, business driven ideas and information which positively impact the client`s business.

2. Account Management
Leading and inspiring the creative and account teams to ensure consistent, timely and excellent delivery of projects: Ensuring correct resource is available Allocating projects according to experience Working to create insights that drive creative excellence Providing creative and strategic marketing input to client presentations Representing the agency at client meetings Overseeing the team on programme execution Conducting post project reviews and evaluation on all relevant projects to ascertain future project potential

3. Team Management
Responsible for management of account team, including: Ongoing motivation and contribution to positive morale of team members Leading by example Setting high standards of excellence Clearly delegating appropriate responsibilities Managing the performance and development of team members in line with the agency`s process

4. Internal communication
Providing timely and consistent communication to manager and team about project status, profitability and people.

5. Financial
Actively manages and takes responsibility in ensuring profitability of your Client`s accounts through effective financial planning and management Leverage all additional revenue opportunities within existing Client base Proactively manages Client budgets

Commercially aware and astute - both short and long term as it ladders to the agency and client objectives.

Experience and Knowledge
Experience as an Account Director/Senior Account Manager in an integrated or Below-the-Line agency environment Experience working with blue chip clients at a senior level. Strong strategic thinking skills with a broad knowledge of the retail industry.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including expressing ideas with clarity, confidence and logical reasoning. Excellent presentation skills (writing and delivering.) A passion for delivering great creative work, developing excellent relationships with an internal creative team and a good eye for judging creative work.
