It is often said that global companies cannot maintain an entrepreneurial approach to business. If you believe that, then this opportunity will not be for you. Our client is a genuinely unique organisation in the food ingredients market, priding itself on its ability to react quickly, with a lack of red tape so often seen in large-scale businesses. Working in partnership with some of the biggest names in the FMCG world, the company has experienced sustained growth in recent times and is now embarking on an exciting new stage in its development. As such, a new position has been created for a European Marketing Manager.

Reporting to the Regional Marketing Director, the role will focus on key regional accounts across 5 European countries, including the UK and Germany. Splitting your time between the office (near Henley-on-Thames) and travelling, you will work very closely with your customers, offering a consultative approach to help identify how to grow their brands - using consumer research, market insights and trend identification to help shape their strategy and planning.

With the goal of being the supplier of choice in what is a competitive market, you will need to always be willing to go the extra mile to really get under the skin of your customers. With an impressive marketing background either in the B2B ingredients/flavours field, or the B2C food & beverage sector, you will have a reasonable understanding of NPD and the latest trends in food ingredients. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset, being capable of performing a broad variety of tasks in what is a diverse role - one day, you may be compiling data in the office to identify a particular trend in beverages; the next, you might be in Italy to advise a yoghurt manufacturer on what steps to take to stay ahead of its competitors.

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be based within a reasonable commute of the office, or be prepared to move to the West London/High Wycombe/Berkshire/South Oxfordshire region. In addition, the role will involve up to 50% travel some weeks, so the ability to travel on a European level on a regular basis is essential. Additional languages to English would be highly preferable - in particular German, but also French, Spanish or Italian.

Whilst we would like to respond to all our on-line applicants, regrettably we are unable to do so due to the high volumes we receive. If you've not heard from us within two weeks, unfortunately on this occasion your application has been unsuccessful.
