We have a fantastic opportunity for a Media Manager who has a wealth of experience to drive highly effective and efficient integrated portfolio media plans for cider and beer.

Responsibility for developing and managing a series of value-adding media management processes and initiatives,  including media planning process and new media planning RACIs with a focus on ensuring brands’ media plans and investment deliver on pre-determined brand communication objectives and optimise returns on media investments.

The key responsibilities:-

  • Develop an effective media planning process with a clear RACI matrix
  • Ensure the media planning process form an integral part of the Integrated Commercial Planning Process
  • Development of annual media briefs for all brands
  • Take functional ownership of (the development of effective) media output figures (e.g. SoV/ SoM ratios, media channel effectiveness measures) to drive media analysis & monitoring & management
  • Organise and lead the Quarterly Media reviews with key stakeholders (brand teams, media agencies, monitoring agency, other 3rd parties)
  • Drive effective and efficient brand media plans through the media process, media expertise, influencing and coordinating joint efforts of the various stakeholders (brand teams, media agencies)
  • Provide, analyse and incorporate competitive media usage insights across categories into brand media plans
  • Lead and coordination a new process, leading to development of a strategic media direction for all HUK brands
  • Develop a digital media strategy, principles and guidelines
  • Monitor media industry, technology, and business trends to identify opportunities /threats
  • To conduct a full process audit of HUK way of managing media to serve as input for the development of an integrated portfolio media planning process with a clear roles and responsibilities (RACI matrix)
  • Lead, drive and coordinate the new media processes
  • Implement the new Global Media contract agreements and processes and make the implications transparent to internal HUK stakeholders
  • Development of a HUK digital & social media strategy, tools and measures   
  • Drive effective and efficient media strategies for all the company’s brands through media process, media expertise, influencing and coordinating joint efforts of the various stakeholders, fitting into the integrated portfolio media strategy
  • Development of annual media briefs for all brands
  • Drive the Quarterly Media Reviews with key stakeholders to (also) ensure competitive media insights are incorporated in our actions
  • Represent the Company in interactions with third party agencies parties (e.g. Heineken Global Commerce, SMV, media (research) agencies
  • Develop in-house media capabilities in cooperation with the Marketing capability manager to elevate people’s (social) media understanding and management skills 
  • Ensure that performances of all Media Agencies working for HUK are effectively and continually monitored against their core competencies, including mid-year and year-end reviews meetings
  • Further develop and implement media effectiveness and efficiency measures
  • Owner of the functional link with Global Commerce w.r.t. media

Essential Experience

  • A wealth of experience in the Media space.
  • Managing budgets of over £20 million
  • A background either in-house or agency.
  • Ideally FMCG background
  • Degree educated
