Account Director – Excellent London Agency – to £50k

Superb central London agency seeks an Account Director to work on a prestigious car account - one of the agency’s flagship pieces of business.

Reporting and Context for the Account Director Role

This Account Director role is 100% on this account and provides a well-rounded breadth of work, including Direct, Digital, Data and CRM.

The position reports to a Group Account Director who would act as a career mentor for the Account Director, with support from a Board Account Director.

The Account Director position is the primary account lead on the account, and will involve the management of a team of Account Handlers.

The agency work as part of an interagency head team trio (with equivalents from ATL and media agencies).

Main Responsibilities of the Account Director Role

The Account Director must have proven abilities within a direct and integrated environment and enjoy working in a fast paced environment working collaboratively with other agency partners to drive the marketing agenda for the client.

The current scope of work encompasses a CRM communications programme, support of product launches including tactical communications, working with data insights and strategies to inform direct and ATL communications planning and campaign and programme reporting.

Confident and driven, the Account Director must have proven ability to quickly build relationships and work autonomously to grow business and to add value strategically to the account. There is a great deal of relationship building within the role (inter-agency and in terms of 6 clients the agency work with).

Accountabilities for the Account Director Role

· Oversee direct, digital and integrated potentially award winning campaigns to deadline and budget, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction as measured by regular benchmarking.

· Build excellent relationships and credibility at all levels including senior clients and other agency partners/stakeholders to meet strategic needs of the client.

· Spot and act on strategic and creative opportunities to meet growth and financial targets on the account.

· Ensure excellent service delivery in terms of creative, data, digital and production teams, ensuring success through right resourcing strategy and talent to deliver on plans

Technical Skills / Experience for the Account Director Role

It is essential that the Account Director has the ability to recognize and defend creative excellence and to be able to work collaboratively across teams to deliver the best possible work.

Strong direct and CRM experience will be essential in this role as is experience working with data teams.

Automotive experience is a distinct advantage although a real passion for the industry/cars is essential for this role.

Personal Attributes Sought for the Account Director Role

The Account Director best suited to this position will be naturally outgoing, open and a strong relationship builder.

They must be able to think laterally around problems to resolve tactical issues as well as be able to think strategically in terms of the longer term agenda.

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are a must and the Account Director must demonstrate that they can be passionate about the brand, be commercially savvy, and ambitious to progress their long term career with the agency.
