Senior Business Development Executive - London

Our client is a Leading Professional Services Business are looking to recruit a high calibre Business Development Professional with the purpose of supporting the firm's strategy through building strong regional connections with key influencers, identifying opportunities in the marketplace, supporting local delivery of firm-wide and cross-group/sector activities and sharing best practice across the UK regions.

Main duties and responsibilities:

*Developing the location marketing plan in liaison with the Business Development Locations Manager and the Head of Office.
*Working with the Head of Office and Business Development Locations Manager to develop and implement profile raising activity in the local marketplace.
*Ensure that local office is informed of firm-wide business development initiatives and best practice.
*Working with the Business Development Managers and Executives to help to deliver Practice Group/Sector business development objectives through local knowledge and connections.
*Local delivery of cross Practice/Sector and firm-wide events activity including planning through to implementation and post event review.
*Drafting and managing the location business development budget in liaison with the Business Development Locations Manager and Head of Office and analysing effectiveness of local business development expenditure.
*Assisting the Business Development Managers, Bids team and partners in the preparation of bids, where appropriate leading on specific regional bids (Scotland only) and creation of informal credentials statements.
*Creation and distribution of PR such as press releases, articles and newsflash information, working with the PR team.
*Building relationships with the regional media.
*Management and mentoring of locations executive (where structure requires), providing cover in their absence.
*Supporting the Business Development Locations Manager on firm-wide projects.
*Building relationships with regional organisations ensuring appropriate attendance at events, hosting events, contributing to regional debate, providing speakers etc.
*Legal directory submissions and planning for interviews with researchers
*Training and guidance for Legal PAs on best practice for running group and sector events
*Working as part of the Locations team to learn from experience elsewhere and develop best practice.

Relevant Experience:

*Experience in supporting a wide range of marketing initiatives including development and implementation of marketing plans, organisation of hospitality events and seminars, database management, budget planning and monitoring, collation of marketing intelligence, and public relations.
*Experience in a professional services environment.
*Experience of working in a team.
*Experience in building relationships with media and external organisations
