With some social media experience (ideally from an agency environment or consumer brand) you have worked across multiple consumer facing brands and understand social media platforms including best practice methods. Your experience is unlikely to be confined to one social media platform and your exposure is likely to include Facebook, You Tube, Twitter, Fiickr and LinkedIn to name a few. Some exposure to dashboards such as TweetDeck would be advantageous. Working for a leading consumer brand who is investing heavily in the digital marketing this is a superb in-house opportunity for someone passionate and already capable in social media to help shape the capabilities of social media to engage with consumers and grow brand strength.

Reporting to the Social Media Manager, as Social Media Assistant you will implement and maintain the social media strategies across all of the consumer brands. You will have some strategic input and dictate both short-term projects as well as seeding marketing ideas and opportunity across social media platforms. Keeping current with social media trends and providing insights to the Social Media Manager will also form part of this interesting remit.
