Business Development Manager (Media/Events Agency)
Successful, expanding media and events agency seeks Business Development Manager. As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for heading up the new business aspect of the agency as it continues to grow, initially focusing on hands-on sales before moving on to hiring and managing a team as the role develops. Our client has enjoyed regular year-on-year growth both before and during the recession and is going from strength to strength. The next stage of its development is to build a dedicated sales team both to drive new client acquisition and to then lead the account management function. It already has an enviable blue chip client list to build upon and a highly marketable USP. Growth is both in the UK and internationally and it is likely to open an overseas office in the near future. Our client is looking for a consultative, tenacious sales professional who would thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-growth environment. You should either have experience in conference sponsorship or media sales, or a background in business development within a similar agency. Staff management experience would be beneficial, although is not essential. The prospects for this role are phenomenal in terms of career and earnings development as well as international exposure and travel.
