The Role
The Digital Account Director is responsible for the day to day leadership of the account. Leading the strategic approach of all digital channels is a core component of the role. Overseeing the implementational planning and buying of direct response, brand and video media channels across all digital devices (desktop, tablet, mobile, console etc.) is also important.


Understanding the client industry category and business objectives
Strong relationships with all internal account team departments (particularly digital specialisms) to ensure effective cross media planning
Overall responsibility for consistently high quality output across all account deliverables
Adept understanding of all relevant technology solutions and the education of internal teams and the client
The identification of new, organic growth opportunities on existing client business
Leading the development and communication of effective client strategies for all digital channels
Overseeing the delivery of effective client strategies that realise client objectives
Leading with team support the informing / education / sell of new media

High level understanding of the strategic use of digital media
High level understanding of multiple digital media channels (online display, paid search, affiliates, social, emerging technologies etc.)
High level understanding of the broader media landscape and its impact on digital campaigns and strategies
High level experience and understanding of industry research and planning tools (Comscore, Hitwise, TGInet, AdRelevance, UKOM etc)
Proven record of digital planning and buying experience (direct response/brand/video across all digital devices)
Proven record of successful digital campaign implementation and management
Proven record of leading a team of more than three people
Excellent operating knowledge of industry trafficking and reporting tools (Dart, Atlas, Flashtalking, Eyeblaster etc)
Extensive experience of performance related buying, analysis, optimisation and digital direct response best practise
High level understanding of digital brand best practice
