The Agency

A fantastic, mid-sized agency, based in the heart of London is looking to hire a talented, meticulous Senior Creative Artworker.

This agency’s output consists of fantastic retail-based solutions for a range of leading brands in the entertainment and leisure sectors as well as for a host of FMCG brands.

The Role

The Creative Services Manager role will involve effective planning and management of the creative work flow (art directors / designers / artworkers / structural designers and illustrators) - ensuring all briefs  are appropriately matched to the available skill sets.

The ideal candidate for this Creative Services Manager role will have commercial mind so that he/she can negotiate on costs, and continually review freelance head count, recruitment fees, process and overall operations,  which will deliver on-going savings for the agency

The Creative Services Manager will work collaboratively across all departments including; client services, procurement and new business teams to ensure smooth operations /even workflow distribution

The Creative Services manager will also be responsible for rolling out a new online management tool and approval system across multiple sites.

Other key responsibilities for the Creative Services Manager role include

  • Organise and chair weekly resource planning meetings with account teams and creative group heads
  • Prepare detailed weekly workflow status reports for incoming creative/design/artwork and structural briefs/pitches, highlighting resource allocation and timings for each project
  • Sense-check briefs to ensure that all necessary  assets and specifications are readily available for the designers to commence work / prepare accurate estimates for internal creative time before a job commences
  • Traffic briefs through the studio and effectively manage approvals to ensure deadlines are met / prioritise the flow of work to ensure that deadlines are managed and that the  studio/designers are continually kept busy
  • Art buying – Commissioning illustrators and coordinating / providing costs for photo shoots when necessary (Prepare photography/casting briefs, liaise with agents, models and stylists, negotiate on fees and usage, organise castings and set builds, source props and location).

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for the Creative Services Manager will come from project management/production background and be a natural people person. He/she will need to have the ability to negotiate extremely well and create a sense of calm throughout the creative department.

The Creative Services Manager position requires someone with end-to-end project management skills, who can manage projects from creative briefing, trafficking, problem solving and relationship and budget management.

Key attributes of the Creative Services Manager

  • Exceptional time-management and organisational skills – your own time and 25 plus others
  • Ability to influence and negotiate seamlessly under pressure
  • Excellent at ‘people management’ and working with various personality types
  • Must be a can do / make it happen / anything is possible type person
  • Sound production knowledge of POS, POP and 360 campaigns
  • Understanding of adobe suite would be very useful
  • Must be Excel, Word and PPT literate
