SENIOR PLANNER | Integrated Agency | (£55K-80K – may go higher) – Central London

Exciting new role for a SENIOR PLANNER to join this dynamic below-the-line agency based in the WEST END.

Following heavy investment in digital and experiential marketing, my client boasts a truly INTEGRATED offering, with an enviable list of BLUE-CHIP CLIENTS.  Clients span the FMCG, Automotive, Alcohol, Retail and Technology sectors, so a great variety of campaigns to be involved with.

They are now looking for a Senior Planner who is competent in brand and strategy planning as well as understanding the nuances of shopper, retail, experiential and promotional as channel activation points. The successful candidate would look to work alongside their Digital Planner to build the agency’s planning capabilities into a well-respected centre of excellence in its own right.

To achieve this goal, the successful candidate will:

  • Be responsible for the planning function, providing the direction for the agency’s approach to planning that will become the external approach that they sell to clients.
  • Set out the roles and responsibilities for account handling and creative teams to work with the planning function with the aim of delivering more insightful and inspiring creative briefs.
  • Make a positive contribution to the new business function by leading the strategic thinking on pitches and presenting insight and strategy to a high level in presentations.
  • Build strong client relationships by encouraging a partnership approach, adding value to their business, engendering trust and respect, and ensuring that working with the agency is an enjoyable experience.

Experience Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have an agency background and is an experienced Planner/Senior Planner
  • Need to be familiar and comfortable with the disciplines, channels and mechanics that the agency operate in
  • Experience of working on a range of blue chip clients preferably in the FMCG, drinks, retail and Automotive sectors
  • Be familiar and comfortable in working in multi agency teams

The ideal candidate:

  • Strong personality
  • Robust and can work under pressure
  • Self-starter with bags of initiative and can hit the ground running
  • Positive / can-do approach / attitude
  • Good communicator and relationship builder, both internally and more importantly with clients
  • Someone who can work well in a non-hierarchical, flat-structured environment
  • Someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved
  • Good sense of humour
  • Good multi-tasker / fast worker (will be working across several accounts / projects simultaneously)

So if you like the sound of this role and it’s the opportunity you’ve been looking for please get in touch.  I also have 2 other planning roles (Junior Planner and a Senior Creative Strategist) that I’m recruiting for so am keen to speak to planners at all levels.
