As Digital Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the development and (together with the E-Commerce Manager) implementation of the digital strategy for, to drive customer engagement at all stages of the online customer journey – research, purchase and post-purchase. This will be achieved through execution of the company’s digital marketing plans and demonstrating relevant and effective planning, implementation and control

The successful candidate will have a strategic and professional approach to marketing with a real focus on optimizing the customer experience as well as a commercial and sales driven approach.


  • Plan, evaluate, measure and monitor campaigns and make recommendations for improvement
  • Understand the buyer behaviour and the importance of targeted marketing for the online consumer
  • Design,  measure and monitor an annual online marketing plan
  • Understand the evolution of mobile and tablet and ensure Vax is considering/utilising this in its marketing and communication activities
  • Continuous development of the website to deliver an accessible, usable and value-adding experience
  • Drive traffic, conversion, engagement and referrals
  • Work with the offline team to dove-tail digital marketing with traditional tools and techniques to achieve synergy and overall better experience for customers
  • Use customer insight to ensure appropriate propositions and content are developed

Skills and experience required:

  • Digital marketing responsibility with a retailer or manufacturer selling directly to the end consumer
  • Experience in all aspects of established online marketing tools: SEO, PPC, advertising/display media, affiliate marketing, email marketing, viral marketing, online PR  and newer ones (blogs/microblogs, mobile, rich media, social networks…)
  • Use of digital metrics, web analytics to assess our proposition/digital positioning
  • Budget management, agency management
