This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world leading financial services organisation with operations in the UK, Europe, Asia, The US and Canada. They are looking for an experienced Intranet/Content Manager to pro actively manage the group-wide intranet ensuring it is meeting its objectives, audience needs and supports the group`s online strategy.


- Support senior management with setting up the Group`s online intranet strategy and evolving it to meet the growing business needs

- Proactively manage the intranet ensuring content and tools are current and communicating the brand and values

- Proactively work with content and site/application owners across the Group to tease out requirements, propose solutions and deliver them so that the business continues to make the most out of

- Responsible for the intranet user experience and user journey`s enabling staff to find and use content and tools as quickly and efficiently as possible through a persona led information architecture

- Develop content (including writing news stories) using the content management system (SharePoint) which will include copywriting/sub-editing , creating graphics, page creation and managing sign-off

- Create interactive online campaigns (where required) to promote and support new content

- Responsible for further developing and managing collaboration and web 2.0 tools through the intranet

- Propose, define and deliver site wide (content, tools and technical) improvements within budget and on-time

- Work with IT and manage appointed agencies that support online activities

- Support internal communications by co-ordinating and creating corporate event and activity content i.e. webcasts of Staff town hall events, results days etc

- Ensure the intranet is in line with governance standards and guidelines

- Measure, analyse and make recommendations on audience usage and channel effectiveness

- Work with and support other members of the online team and wider Marketing & Communications team to ensure a co-ordinated and consistent approach and message is being conveyed.

Ideally you will have:

- Experience working with Sharepoint 2010

- Proven track record of managing FTSE 100/250 corporate intranet sites

- Strong information architecture skills with proven tracks record of creating site maps, taxonomies, user journeys and wire frames

- First class report writing skills, with ability to develop and present ideas and reasoned arguments clearly and concisely to various audiences through project briefs, requirement and solution documents, project updates etc.

- Strong online copywriting and editing skills with ability to create online content and stories from brief

- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, a confident and articulate presenter to internal/external audiences, exercising appropriate discretion in dealing with people from all levels of the Company

- Demonstrable evidence of using analytical tools and interpreting & manipulating website related analytical data clearly and accurately with the ability to extract & clearly articulate key points and trends

- Basic knowledge of HTML

- Experience of using web content management systems to generate and publish content

- Proven experience of using Microsoft Share Point 20007 to create content, sites/tools and manage online channels

- Strong creative skills with experience of creating web based graphics and creative online campaigns

- Experience of implementing web 2.0 tools to support wider online communication activities

- Strong project management skills with proven track record of managing online projects with multiple stakeholders within budget and on time
