My client, a leading provider of IT solutions to the finance sector, is looking for an experienced PR Executive/Manager to join the communications team.

The ideal candidate will come from either a Finance or IT background and have excellent communications, Marketing, Social Media and PR experience.
A Marketing Qualification is highly desirable.

This is a home based role with minimal office contact.

The role will cover several key accountabilities and duties:

-Support the Senior Corporate Communications Manager to deliver the corporate communications plan to meet corporate objectives
-Maintain a good working relationship with the PR agency to achieve interview and feature opportunities
-Support the Senior Corporate Communications Manager with crisis communications activity
-Contribute copywriting skills for Q&A documents, press releases, articles and award entries
-Monitor and measure effectiveness of PR campaigns
-Proactive management of PR collateral relating to externally facing people to enable accurate response to media requests and promotions.
-News tracking and coverage
-Produce and maintain media tracker
-Support the delivery of all PR related activity on web and intranet, ensuring it is on brand and uploaded in a timely fashion
-Organise and attend regular PR agency meetings with the Senior Corporate Communications Manager
-Support the Senior Corporate Communications Manager with development and implementation of corporate public affairs strategy

Skills and Experience:

-Several years of dedicated PR experience, either in-house or at an agency, with a couple of years at account manager or PR manager level; some demonstrable social media skills
-Strong writing skills - this is a key requirement
-Crisis management experience
-Good organisational skills
-Good communications skills
-A keen focus on delivery, of results and of pieces of work
-Experience in payments or financial industry
-Existing media contacts within relevant UK media: personal finance, trade media including charity, utility, telecoms, local government
-Combination of B2B and B2C background/experience
-PR / social media qualification
