Account Director [Promotions & Partnerships] – Superb Agency – Central London £Negotiable

Lovely, independent central London agency seeks a talented Account Director to join a lively team and work on an instantly recognisable brand and one of the Agency’s most important clients.

The Client

This Account Director role sits within the Partnerships and Promotions team that work across a mix of entertainment, retail and travel clients to deliver both partnerships and promotions. This actual Account Director role is specifically to work on an exciting airline account.

The agency were appointed 8 months ago by the airline as their exclusive promotional agency. The agency source brand partners, develop partnership campaigns and deliver the promotional activation. The partnerships are from a broad mix of sectors which leads to a broad spread of activation. Partners range from national press to smaller boutique holiday companies. Whilst partnerships are the current focus there are many new opportunities arising.

The Account Director Role

  • The Account Director will report into a Business Director and manage a Senior Account Manager and Account Executive
  • The Account Director will develop and implement strategy for brand partnership campaigns and new projects
  • The Account Director will source, create and activate promotions with relevant/synergistic brands and then present proposals to Senior Marketing contacts
  • Overseeing the activation of partnership promotions throughout the planning and implementation process
  • Delivering client service excellence at all times and instilling these skills into the team
  • The Account Director will be responsible for quality and financial control of all projects with regards to third party promotions, quality of reporting to the client and developing high quality proposals
  • Developing first class creative briefs and managing the creative process from client briefing through to implementation of ideas
  • Leading on monthly income forecast reporting  and managing the delivery of weekly, monthly and annual income targets for client
  • The Account Director will also actively seek new business opportunities from both existing and new clients, with the opportunity to build their own client portfolio and team

The Account Director Required

  • An Account Director with at least 5 years’ experience of working in a partnerships and/or promotions agency environment, with proven experience of securing partnerships, leading partnership negotiations and delivering campaigns
  • You will demonstrate natural flair in sales and selling technique and enjoy the buzz of achieving success
  • You will have in-depth experience with promotional marketing from conception through to evaluation and have proven experience of managing successful promotional campaigns
  • You will have Account Director experience in writing strategic documents, both with and without planning support, and presenting these to senior clients
  • You will have proven experience of building and leading strong relationships with senior clients – Marketing Director level
  • You will be a confident communicator, especially over phone and email, intelligent, enthusiastic, passionate and driven
  • Possess strong Account Director negotiation skills and the ability to write and present first class proposals to secure deals with partner brands
