Account Manager – Excellent London Agency – to £32k

One of the leading marketing agencies in the UK, who specialise in activating brands for clients, seeks an Account Manager to work on an exciting FMCG brand.

The agency are part of a global agency network and comprise 154 staff and they have a unique capability to deliver fully integrated solutions under one roof: branding and design, advertising, direct marketing, CRM, interactive, data/analytics, promotional and shopper marketing.

The predominance of this Account Manager role involves POS, packaging, sales promotion and worldwide toolkits. It is also possible also that some international TV advertising could crop in the role at some point too!

The Client:

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Account Manager to join the central team of one of the agency’s biggest international FMCG clients – working across a large spectrum of specialities, including packaging, shopper marketing, retail merchandising, trade marketing and corporate communication on a global level.

Job Summary

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing the account effectively and profitably by planning for and organizing all areas relevant to development and execution of projects. This includes ensuring the smooth day to day running of the account and ensuring great creative ideas are executed professionally, and deployed successfully through the brand key markets.

If the Account Director is unavailable the Account Manager should be able to manage any issues unsupervised and inspire confidence in the Client's that they can do so.

The Account Manager will also be responsible for managing one Account Executive.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Proven experience in at an Account Manager level in a similar environment.
  • Understanding of brand growth strategies, i.e. acquisition and retention.
  • Account Manager experience of developing an account and growing the business.
  • Passion for generating bright ideas and delivering work that sells.
  • Ability to think beyond execution and to offer solutions rather than problems.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure whilst managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Previous experience in managing a small team and/or supervising a network is desirable.
