The role:

Working within the marketing team, the Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for strategically planning and executing our digital marketing strategy.  You will have experience of working on digital campaigns including social networks, content marketing and paid SEM.  Working within a small marketing team, this role is an opportunity to have a significant impact on our overall marketing strategy. 

Key Responsibilities:

The Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for:

Social Media

1.Optimising our use of social networks to improve user loyalty and encourage two way communication with our audience with a focus on user engagement to drive registrations and applications

2.Content management, ensuring the social networks are updated frequently and interpreting data to optimise content to drive as much traffic back to the TARGETjobs and TARGETcourses site

3.Liaising with other departments within GTI to ensure the social networks are updated frequently with popular and effective content



4.Delivering effective and cost efficient PPC campaigns, analysing and reporting on results in order to optimise campaigns and maximise conversation rates. 

5.Sourcing  and leveraging online alliances to generate registrations and relevant traffic

6.Source new CPC aggregators in order to increase traffic to the TARGETjobs and TARGETcourses site and maximise budget


Content Marketing

7.Improved SEO through link building with relevant and effective sites

8.Producing and distributing popular online PR for the student audience building up effective content distribution partnerships

9.Generating new and maintaining existing relationships with online student focused media sites to meet digital marketing objectives

10.Developing viral campaigns to raise our profile amongst students and engage users


Reporting and department support

11.Providing relevant and timely reporting for online marketing activities plus website performance

12.Manage internal promotion to improve use of TARGETjobs and TARGETcourses features, services and products

13.Support client marketing with their digital marketing strategy to improve client engagement and incoming sales enquiries

14.Supporting other GTI campaigns when necessary, including event attendance, trendence UK, TARGETjobs Events and Awards


Personal Specification:

To be successful in this role the applicant must have:

1.Experience of developing digital and social networking campaigns preferably to a youth audience demonstrating audience growth and engagement

2.Experience or good recent knowledge of the higher education system and graduate recruitment within the UK

3.Good working knowledge of Google Adword – Creating new and maintaining existing campaigns, optimising and bid management. Ability to work to a budget and strategically distribute  it throughout the year

4.Provided detailed analysis of digital campaigns and be able to interpret the data in order to create new campaigns.

5.Working knowledge of Google Analytics and social media management tools such as Hootsuite

6.Worked within an online environment with a focus on website activity

7.A creative ‘outside the box’ thought process

8.Confidence to present ideas and experience of getting buy in from other departments.
