Visual Merchandising Manager (Online, Fashion, E-commerce, Creative, VM)

The role is responsible for supporting the Merchandising Director in delivering a brand appropriate and enhancing visual proposition to customers. This will be achieved primarily through the management of brands and products on the ecommerce platform ensuring that both brand integrity and profitability are maximized at all times. Successful management of the VM team, developing a team culture that strengthens the company's values is also a core element of the role.

Key responsibilities
  • Understand and contribute to the commercial and creative strategies
  • Influencing all aspects of visual merchandising, demonstrating full awareness of brands & seasonal trends and their relevance to the companies proposition
  • Partner with marketing teams to deliver balanced and commercial customer emails, editorial and other projects as required
  • Successfully balance the insight from analytical merchandising with the creative needs of brands and products to deliver a VM approach that helps to achieve the company KPIs (sales, productivity, profit)
  • Ensure that a VM schedule is developed and executed - products, brands and are edits regularly reviewed and assessed
  • Bring inspiring ideas and motivation into a collaborative team

Key skills and experience
  • Ideally, 2+ yrs in an online creative, VM focused role
  • Exposure to branded merchandise - preferably in a high fashion, luxury environment
  • Experience of using analysis to inform commercial decision making
  • Understanding of KPIs that deliver success within a Retail online organisation and their impact on a VM team
  • Understanding and empathy for, the creative needs of the brands proposition - balancing Art & Science
  • Experience of working with VM tools and packages
  • Experience of managing a small team
