Reporting into the Group CEO, you will be responsible for growing the corporate reporting business of the agency with a particular focus on the online reporting opportunity. Corporate reporting currently accounts for over £2m of revenues.

The role

Build a genuine best in class team

– Working with the agencies leadership team (primarily the CEO, Executive Creative Director, Head of Digital and Head of Sustainability practice) to build and grow a team with the right capabilities to retain existing and attract new FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and European 500 corporate reporting clients   

– Responsible for evolving and developing the agencies consultancy capabilities in line with the regulatory environment, good practice and the needs of clients

– Line management responsibilities for corporate reporting client relationship team

Client consultancy, development and retention

– Provide corporate reporting consultancy work for new and existing clients working with internal and external partners as required to deliver genuine best in class capabilities (the agency currently works with individual consultants and organisations including the FRC and Future Value to complement internal capabilities)

– Create and deliver bespoke assessments, competitive benchmark audits and analysis to meet the demands of selective clients

– Work with other senior members of the teams to develop corporate reporting strategies for clients in line with best practice and market developments

– Provide end of year assessments of client corporate reporting against best practice criteria for use by the account teams at project kick-off meetings and debriefs

– Respond to ad hoc queries from clients regarding legislative and regulatory provisions, providing advice and guidance as appropriate

Growth and development

– Responsibility for setting out and delivering the annual growth and development (marketing and new business) plan for corporate reporting working alongside the agencies New Business and leadership teams

– Responsibility for profit targets and driving organic growth within existing corporate reporting clients with a focus on growing online reporting and cross-selling of the agencies sustainability services

– Networking within the agency and beyond to identify and create new opportunities

– Lead key pitches as the expert agency voice on corporate reporting

– Work with the New Business team, Executive Creative Director, Head of Digital and other senior members of the team to generate research and thought leadership content for PR and marketing purposes

– Participate in cross-disciplinary new and organic business opportunities as subject or sector/client expert

Knowledge and skills required for the role

– Recognised as a leader in corporate reporting from agency or client side

– Ability to champion and persuade internal and external audiences on the value of design and creativity

– A demonstrable track record in building long-lasting client relationships

– A highly networked individual able to create his/her own opportunities    

– Able to establish strong relationships with individuals at all levels and instinctively collaborative

– Evidence of building high performance teams and a positive culture

– Excellent communication skills

– Strong leadership and organisational skills and a desire to be part of the solution as well as set the direction

– Strong commercial acumen and evidence of running a profitable team, division or agency
