This is a fantastic opportunity to temporarily work for this exciting Travel/Leisure company for 2-3 months (with the potential of becoming a permanent fixture)

This is a pivotal role within the Marketing Department with particular emphasis on direct marketing via online channels. You will be responsible for the company website content, social media, e-newsletters, direct mail campaigns and CSQ data and to assist with other departmental projects including the production of the company brochure, to ensure a high standard and uniform representation of the brand.

This role will suit someone highly creative and dynamic, with strong writing skills and a keen interest in online marketing and social media. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Marketing experience and ideally a Marketing qualification looking to take on more responsibility and develop their career.

• Responsible for researching and writing copy, and updating content and images on the company website incorporating Search Engine Optimisation recommendations as defined by the Search & E-commerce Marketing Executive or Marketing Manager.
• Jointly responsible for developing a companywide social media strategy for the company with the Marketing Manager. Responsible for implementing the strategy, generating ideas for customer engagement, identifying new channels to target and measuring and reporting on results in relation to objectives.
• Responsible for updating all social media channels and website news updates including researching, writing and posting content in line with company strategy and tone of voice.
• Responsible for initiating and writing blogs in line with company strategy and objectives and managing the blog site.
• Responsible for the production and development of email newsletters to increase engagement and reduce cost of goal acquisition and conversion rates by utilising advanced testing features and using segmentation techniques to produce timely and relevant communications.
• Assist with planning and implementation of all Direct Marketing campaigns (print and online) including researching, creating and proofing content for all distribution channels and reporting on results. This includes assisting with the co-ordination of brochure production ensuring the project meets all required deadlines, liaising with Contracts and Product departments to gather required information and updates.
• Responsible for the distribution of special offers and late availability prices through third-party websites and press contacts.
• Jointly responsible for checking the accuracy of automatic price and availability feeds on the company website and overseeing the Marketing Assistant’s log of all website updates.
• Jointly responsible for identifying ways to improve marketing communications with other areas of the business including B2B agency communications and recruitment drives.
• Identify relevant targets for affiliate and partner campaigns to provide added value to customers and increase data-capture opportunities, and implement such partner marketing campaigns.
• Assist with writing, distributing and publishing on and offline PR features.
• Assist with trade shows and events.
• Responsible for overseeing the organisation and maintenance of the company image library. Identifying areas where new photography is needed and organising photography shoots.
• To act as a member of the company wide crisis management team should the need arise.
• Any other duties as directed by the Marketing Manager.

• Highly organised with experience of balancing multiple projects
• Experience of copy-writing for print and online media
• Previous experience of print production
• Ideally experience of the travel industry
• Experience of updating Facebook, Twitter and blogs for business purposes
• Experience of e-newsletter production and distribution
• Experience of using a content management system to update websites
• Knowledge of Photoshop
• Interest in New Media and current developments in marketing
