Delegate Sales Manager

Very successful global conference division is looking for an experienced manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for managing an experienced sales team selling delegate spaces and networking opportunities to business executives both in the UK and internationally, working across 90 conferences and events throughout the year.

This is a hands-on role, leading from the front in terms of your own sales activity and achievements and developing commercial ideas and new conference opportunities. Our client is forecasting substantial growth over the next three years and you will be responsible for developing sales strategies in line with the company’s expansion plans and day to day management and motivation of your delegate sales team ensuring team targets and goals are set.

Required experience:

  • Strong track record of being able to sell effectively through telesales and proven experience of working to and exceeding revenue targets
  • Excellent experience managing sales teams, preferably within delegate sales
  • Able to quickly develop knowledge of a new market
  • Strong negotiation skills
  •  Results focused
  • Must thrive in a vibrant, fast moving environment
  • Flexible, able to work across multiple projects and perform under pressure
