Marketing Manager needed now for a specialist insurance business. We are looking for someone positive, passionate, enthusiastic and a proven leader to breathe new life into the department.

You’ll need to take immediate responsibility for a small team and provide product, customer and sector marketing expertise. We’ll need you to pick up the reins and develop full mix, integrated marketing plans to deliver against challenging growth targets.

Day to day responsibilities will include the management and development of the marketing team to deliver full marketing mix marketing campaigns and communications for new and existing customers. You will work in partnership with sales and the wider marketing team to understand customer needs, market and competitor trends and  ensure all marketing activities are compliant, maximising all potential opportunities and contributing to business growth.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

Work with the Marketing Director and the senior management team to formulate detailed marketing plans and quarterly forecasts to achieve lead, sales, retention, income and business growth targets
Develop marketing strategies and propositions to improve performance including lead generation, sales and customer retention
Work with the team to set, review and improve customer experience processes
Implement and deliver the approved marketing plan on time and within budget
Propose results-based tactical changes to deliver an improved customer focused result
Continually improve performance of the marketing team by championing the customer and identifying product requirements, delivering best in class marketing capability across all channels
Challenge current methods and processes to identify new and innovative practices which improve prospecting and enhance the customer journey
Identify and maximise new opportunities to drive lead generation, developing ideas and offers for further optimisation across all marketing channels
Work with Digital team to produce new and compelling content
Review weekly MI to monitor performance and influence amendments to existing and future campaigns and activities based on key insights
Ensure all products, propositions and promotions are clear, fair and not misleading, and are designed to meet the needs of consumers, and that products perform as consumers have been led to believe

Ability and gravitas to drive projects from planning through to fruition and act as the ‘go to’ person for all things marketing related within the division
Able to inspire confidence from the business, fostering belief and confidence in marketing
Experience of building and leading a marketing team and planning around strategic targets in order to define and deliver sales to pre agreed objectives.
Able to recognise the importance of the customer to the business, anticipating and identifying customer needs and responding appropriately within a changing environment.
Forges partnerships that enable strategic input to future business opportunities
Leading, motivating and inspiring others to deliver their best performance and to improve team effectiveness.  Creating a shared sense of purpose and commitment
Communicates change issues in a timely fashion, clearly explaining the impact upon key stakeholders and working to create a shared sense of responsibility and involvement in change activities
Experience of marketing insurance products, or within a highly regulated environment is desirable
