Account Director - B2B and IT
My client, a B2B marketing agency, is looking for an experienced Account Director to join one of our talented client services teams providing the opportunity to work on one of our flagship B2B technology clients.
They work with some of the world’s leading technology brands . Customer centricity is fundamental to everything we do and so they are looking for a like-minded individual who understands the value of strong service ethics.
An Account Director at the agency has ultimate responsibility for successful project management of all client projects delivered through their team.
Whilst day-to-day project management is not usually part of the role, the AD maintains the responsibility for the individuals in their team who do deliver them.
Working closely with the heads of other departments and the Managing Director, they should be involved in all creative briefings (where possible) and ensure that they are overseeing the brief, budget and quality of the project deliverables and the account management that the client is receiving.
The AD has principal responsibility for the nurturing and development of their accounts, improving profitability of the account and the productivity of the team. They must maintain responsibility for financial forecasting and invoicing.
An AD must proactively consider account development, take an active role in the development of individuals in their team and lead by example in manner and approach to business. They should be industry savvy, take an active interest in technology and new marketing channels and media.
They should constantly be mindful of the overall performance and objectives of the business and seek new ways to positively impact those objectives.
A background in B2B and technology marketing is imperative.
