In the newly created role, Fitzpatrick will manage the company's UK media business, including publisher representation and digital ad sales, and he will be responsible for recruitment to the UK media team.
Prior to working at Glubble.com, he worked for five years at Lycos Europe, negotiating deals with publishers About.com and IMDb.com.
The appointment of Fitzpatrick follows the recent hiring of Michael Rohowski, former chief sales officer for Lycos Europe, managing director of media for Europe, 24/7 Real Media.
In July, 24/7 Real Media was suspended from Iash (Internet Advertising Sales Houses) for failing to take part in its July audit. Under the Iash code, the company will not be allowed back in to Isah until it passes an ABCe audit.
The suspension followed news earlier in the year that some online ad networks were misplacing ads on inappropriate websites, such as adult sites.
