TBWA: unveils new management line-up
Fallon founding partners Laurence Green and Richard Flintham, the former Cadbury marketing director Phil Rumbol and the Saatchi Saatchi Fallon chief financial officer, Steve Waring, will open the doors to a new agency early next year. (Campaign)
Fallon has appointed Gail Gallie, the former head of marketing at the BBC and a founding client of the agency, as its chief executive.At the same time, Magnus Djaba, a partner at Fallon, has been promoted to managing director with Gareth Goodall, Katrien de Bauw and Augusto Sola made partners. Saatchi & Saatchi EMEA has appointed Andrew Lord, the managing director of Fuse, the sports and entertainment unit of Omnicom Media Group, as its chief marketing officer EMEA. (Campaign)
TBWA\London has appointed the Isobar managing director, Andy De Groose, as its new managing director and the Saint@RKCR/Y&R managing partner, Zaid Al-Zaidy, as its chief strategy officer. (Campaign)
Kallo Foods, the organic and natural food company, has appointed Patrick Cairns to the role of chief executive. Cairns' most recent role was as chief executive at upmarket baby food brand Plum Baby. (Marketing)
Vodafone has jettisoned the group chief marketing officer role, occupied by Wendy Becker, as part of a restructure that folds its global marketing function into a larger unit. Becker is in discussions with the company about taking up an alternative role. (Marketing)
Car marque Mazda has promoted Claire Andrews from senior marketing manager to UK marketing director as part of the recent restructure of the sales and marketing functions at the company.(Marketing)
Jeremy Schwartz, the former News International marketing director, has resurfaced at L'Oreal as general manager for its Garnier and Maybelline brands in the UK. Schwartz will have overall responsibly for sales and marketing in the role. He replaces Damien Bertrand who is moving internally within the company. (Marketing)
Regional publisher Johnston Press has appointed Henry Faure Walker as digital and business development director, and Steve Brown as divisional managing director North. (Media Week)
Condé Nast title GQ has appointed Justin Barriball as associate publisher, while Vanessa Kingori has been promoted to associate publisher of brand extension GQ Style. Both will take up their roles with immediate effect, and will report to Jamie Bill, the publisher of GQ. (Media Week)
Digital product-placement company MirriAd has appointed Peter Bazalgette as chairman. Bazalgette was previously board director at Endemol and Channel 4, where he introduced 'Big Brother' to the UK. (Media Week)
Esquire editor Jeremy Langmead is leaving the men's upmarket monthly magazine after three and a half years to join Net-A-Porter's menswear site Mr Porter. (Media Week)
Mirror Group Advertising has appointed Abeed Janmohamed, the head of agency sales at ESPN across Europe, Middle East and Africa, to the new role of head of digital sales. He will report to David Emin, the group’s director of advertising. (Media Week)
Telegraph Media Group has promoted its head of commercial strategy James Brown to the new role of digital sales director. Brown joined in 2008 and was previously digital trading director at digital agency Diffiniti. (Media Week)
