Man United TV venture appoints man from the Sun as chief

- Manchester United Television, the joint venture TV channel between Manchester United FC, BSkyB and Granada Media Group, has appointed Paul Ridley, the sports editor of the Sun, as its chief executive. MUFC will launch as a subscription service on digital satellite and cable this autumn.
