MTV promotes Quinoy to pan-European media sales role
LONDON - MTV Networks International has promoted its Latin America sales and marketing chief Melisa Quinoy to head its revamped media sales operation in Europe.
Quinoy, who was previously senior vice-president of international partnerships and ad sales with MTV Networks in Latin America, takes the role of executive vice-president with the newly named, pan-European media sales operation Viacom Brand Solutions Europe.
The operation was previously called International Marketing Partnerships, but has been assimilated into the Viacom Brand Solutions business, which MTV felt already had an established identity within the key UK, German and Spanish markets.
Her priorities are to manage relationships with MTV Networks Europe's advertisers, marketing partners and media agencies as well as creating integrated marketing campaigns for programming across the MTV and Nickelodeon brands.
Quinoy, who will be based in London and reports to MTV Networks Europe chief executive Simon Guild, had been in her role in Latin America since 2001 and has more than 20 years' experience in the media sales and advertising sectors.
Her previous roles include stints at Euro RSCG Ball Partnership, in Australia, and at Lowe & Partners/SMS in New York.
Alex Ferrari, MTV Networks International chief operating officer, said: "As we continue to expand VBS Europe's role across our many premier brands and platforms I have no doubt that Melisa will take this team to new heights.
"At MTVN, Latin America she was instrumental in developing and growing our ad sales business. She consistently generated double-digit revenue growth and delivered maximum value for such key clients as Coca-Cola, Motorola and Mattel."
