MindShare wins Avanta search deal

LONDON - MindShare has won the digital PR and natural search business for office provider Avanta.

The company, which claims to be the leading provider of serviced offices in the UK, is preparing to expand internationally with centres in Mumbai and Delhi and is now looking to increase its online presence.

A spokesman for Avanta said it was "integral" that they continue to drive traffic to their website and "maintain a solid position in natural search listings".

The win is the first search only piece of new business for MindShare, although it handles natural search for existing clients.

The agency now offers social media, natural search and digital PR, alongside search engine marketing, display, email, viral affiliate marketing and emerging technologies.

A company like Avanta should think about getting leads from business websites without trying to drive all the traffic to their showroom. This is the internet age, yet everyone seems obsessed with driving people to a specific location. As the web is "inclusive" and not "exclusive" why not include the user, and let them express interest in an advertiser/business without leaving the site they chose to visit in the first place. Search remains a passive "goal hanging" solution, and is not doing the real legwork that happens in the midfield....
