Total Media adds to travel portfolio with Icelandair account

Total Media has won the pounds 500,000-a-year Icelandair planning and buying business following a competitive pitch with a number of undisclosed agencies.

Total Media has won the pounds 500,000-a-year Icelandair planning and buying business following a competitive pitch with a number of undisclosed agencies.

Work for the airline is being handled by senior account manager Lucy Glozier and Total joint managing director Nigel Potter, who was unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.

The win gives Total a respectable travel portfolio, featuring clients such as Holiday Autos and STA Travel. 'Having an airline completes the picture,' said joint managing director Guy Sellers.

'Our main thrust is that we work primarily with clients who are launch-based, whether they are launching products or routes.'

Total recently announced the appointment of John Monk, the ex-managing director of the Borders UK bookshop chain, as non-executive group chairman. Nearly half the agency's clients are in the publishing business.
