Pepsi Max World Cup spoiler ad stars Frank Lampard and Thierry Henry in body paint
LONDON - Pepsi Max is increasing its spoiler efforts around Coca-Cola and its partnership with the World Cup, by launching an Africa-themed marketing campaign featuring world player of the year Lionel Messi, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.

The TV ad was filmed in Africa and also stars Fernando Torres and Thierry Henry. It shows the footballers in body paint and is due to launch this summer.
The ad's soundtrack features 'Oh Africa', was released by Pepsi Max last month. The track is performed by Akon, Keri Hilson and the Soweto Gospel Choir. There are also cameo appearances from Pepsi brand ambassadors Drogba and Torres in the accompanying music video.
Pepsi muscled in on Coca-Cola's sponsorship of the 2006 World Cup in Germany with its 'Pepsi Max World Challenge' campaign.
Ahmed Abdel-Karim, UK marketing manager at Pepsi Max, said: "This year, we want to bring fans a campaign that not only features the best players in the world but also presents them in a unique way that is entertaining and fun.
"The body paint images bring a modern look to a very traditional means of expression and showcase each of our players' universal passion for the game."
