has further appointments, adding to its senior team Michael Pring – former Dare managing partner, joining from Leagas Delaney, where he was the international managing partner for just three months, Clive Tanqueray one-time AMV head of account management, joins from SapientNitro, where he was client services director, and Tom Vick, former joint managing director of JWT London, as managing partners. Cheil UK has appointed Richard Hale, former digital creative director at Fallon, as its first digital creative director as it continues its aggressive drive for new talent. (Campaign)

Former boss of McDonalds in Europe and Pizza Express chief executive Steve Easterbrook is to become chief executive of Wagamama, the Japanese-inspired restaurant chain, which is looking to expand its franchises overseas. (Marketing)

HMV chief executive Simon Fox will leave the group in September, to be repalaced by Trevor Moore, who led Jessops following its dramatic exit from the London Stock Exchange three years ago. Moore steered Jessops back out from disaster, and will face a bigger challenge at HMV. (Marketing)

Nestle marketing controller Phil Toms has joined Wells and Young's as director of brands, having run Shreddies and Cheerios, and developed the 'Knitted by nanas' campaign. At the new post he will have responsibility for brand marketing, PR and consumer insight. (Marketing)

General Motors' chief marketing officer Joel Ewanick has resigned from the company with immediate effect after less than two years. (Marketing)

Mindshare
has hired Chris Green, the brand and business planning director at Hypernaked, as its global head of strategy. (Campaign)

Yahoo has hired Disney's group account executive Steve McHenry as its agency group head for Yahoo UK, following a period of change at the UK business. (Media Week)

Meanwhile, Yahoo's global head of media and former interim CEO Ross Levinsohn is departs the company weeks after losing out on the chief executive role to Google veteran Marissa Mayer. (Media Week)

UTV Media, the owner of TalkSport, has appointed former Chrysalis Group chief executive Richard Huntingford as its new chairman, replacing John McGuckian who was ousted following claims of bias. (Media Week)
